This page outlines the legal terms and conditions under  which Thimblebee Millinery operates and sells millinery items.  These Terms apply to any contract between us, so please read them carefully to ensure you understand them before ordering any items from us either in person or through our website.  Please note that by ordering any of our items, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


Terms and conditions vary from time to time, so please check to ensure you understand what will apply at that time you purchase.  Terms used:


We (Team) – Beryl Furey-King and any milliners that assist her. 
Client(s) – People who order or purchase hats and headpieces through the online shop, various markets  or other outlets.               
Online Shop – the online shop at www.thimblebeemillinary.co.uk           
Bespoke – A hat or headpiece that is made individually for a client and requires specific  materials, measurements,   specialty trims and/or research (in the case of historic pieces)   
Sample – A hat or headpiece that has been created specifically for display purposes.


These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law. This means a contract for the purchase of hats and headpieces through our site and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it, will be governed by English law and you agree that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction.


 

Using the online shop

Online shop orders are paid in full at the time of order through PayPal, with postage and packing calculated separately.


Once payment has cleared you may either collect your hat or headpiece or it can be posted to you.  If posted the hat or headpiece will be carefully packed and sent via Royal Mail Tracked parcel post.  If you wish to return your hat you can do so within 14 days at your expense.  If the hat has been worn or damaged returns will not be accepted.  This policy does not affect your statutory rights.


 

Placing an order for a bespoke piece

Hat and headpiece prices are quoted, based on specification at the time of the order. Changes to the hat or headpieces after the original quoted price, may result in a price increase, subject to your approval prior to proceeding.  We reserve the right to refuse an order for any reason including, but not limited to, non-availability of the product or materials or inability to process your payment.  


When placing an order for a bespoke piece you will be asked to pay a non-refundable deposit of £30. This will be considered acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. You will be required to pay the full balance on receipt of the goods.


Bespoke hats may require two or three consultations, which are included in the agreed price.  If you are unable to visit the studio in Bristol we can work through email, phone calls and photographs, or if possible we may be able to visit you or meet in a mutually convenient location.


Bespoke Hats and headpieces are not available for a refund or return.   If you are not completely happy with your new hat or headpiece, please contact us as soon as possible, so that we may deal with your concerns.  This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

 


How to pay

Online shop orders are paid in full at the time of order through PayPal.


Bespoke orders can pay the initial deposit and the remaining balance by PayPal or bank transfer.  An invoice will be generated  once the order has been placed.  The balance must be paid within 14 days of completion of the bespoke order.


 

Delivery

Online shop orders will be posted within three days of payment being received, under normal circumstances.


Bespoke orders require a minimum of six weeks from order and payment of a deposit until they can be ready for delivery.  This time may be increased if there is difficulty in availability of raw materials with which to make the bespoke order.  Rushed orders  for specific dates may be accommodated but have to be agreed in advance and confirmed.


 

Cancelling your order

You may cancel your order within 14 days of the date you placed the order.   Even if work has not begun on your bespoke order, your deposit may be retained in order to cover the cost of any speciality materials that were purchased specifically for your hat or headpiece.


 

Privacy policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy when you use our website and when you provide us with personal information.  We use your personal information to fulfill your order, and your email address to send you updates in reference to the progress of your order.   We do not share information about our customers with third parties, except where necessary to fulfill an order that you place with us or to comply with legal requirements.
