The Bergere or Pancake hat was popular during the middle of the Georgian period.  It is flat with a short crown and was worn with a cap underneath.  These hats were often made with straw and then covered.

This version is made in buckram covered in cream coloured silk.  It is trimmed with satin ribon on the crown and brim and the underside is pleated with red silk.

An additional version made with straw should be available shortly.

If you would like a Bergere in a different colour or with alternative decoration, one can be made to your specific requirements.  Use the Contact Us in order to discuss your requirements.
